Celtic continued their good run of form with a comfortable 4-1 win over Todmorden Borough.
Borough started the brightest and and looked solid and well organised, but after 15 minutes Trawden took the lead with a well taken goal by Oliver Slater. Todmorden came back strongly and were unlucky to see two fine strikes hit the woodwork.
Trawden were struggling to get their passing game together, but went two nil up when, Phil Shaw, who hit a hat-trick against Borrowdale last week, finished off a neat move.
In the second half, Trawden were sharper, and Borough looked a beaten side when their Keeper was sent off for foul and abusive language, aimed at the referee.
Just minutes later, Richard Dixon made it 3-0 with a great 30 yard strike that gave the sub keeper no chance.
Then Celtic became sloppy. A mix up in defence let a Borough striker through, and Carl Pain pulled him back. The ball went into the net, but the ref had already blown for a penalty.
Celtic keeper, Calvin Anslow saved the spot-kick, but the ball rebounded of the Todmorden player into the roof of the net.
Trawden got their act back together and Spencer Jordan made it 4-1 with a great free-kick from outside the box.
Trawden are still unbeaten and move up to third in the table with 5 games in hand on the leaders.
